Extension Reel Not Working. i have the below cord reel, rated 1000watt rolled and 3500watt extended. it works fine with most of my power tools (miter saw, router table) but my table saw constantly trips the reel’s internal circuit. It was working great until. If the guide arm is in side wind position for ceiling mounted reels, the hose / cord is bending at a 90°. i have an extension reel, standard 20m cable, 13a plug at one end, four sockets at the other, no other switches or. they always get spotty after a few years, most people just toss them out but it is so very easy to bring them back. i have a decent electric cable reel bought about 3 years ago, it suddenly appears to be playing up, when it's rolled. wrong guide arm position. my newer husky extension cord reel stopped working one day so i decided to fix it.
